Mortgage Marketing Online - Overcome Skepticism

When it comes to mortgage marketing online, one of the best things you can do is overcome skepticism. Like it or not, consumers are naturally skeptical of mortgage companies. When you add to that the anonymous nature of the Internet, you have an even more skeptical audience to work with.
This skepticism obviously poses a problem for mortgage marketing online. But it’s something you can work to overcome.
For one thing, make sure your mortgage marketing website is not “faceless.” A faceless website is one that uses a lot of pronouns like “we” and “us” … a website that makes it impossible to find a person’s name. You’ve probably seen this kind of faceless, anonymous website before, yet? It didn’t inspire much trust, did it? So make sure you take ownership of your website.
Of course, if you hesitate to take ownership of your mortgage marketing website because you engage in some kind of shady practices, then there’s nothing I can do to help you (nor would I want to). But if you’re taking the initiative to read this article in hopes of improving your mortgage marketing online, I’m guessing you’re an honest, hardworking individual. Why not share that with your visitors?
Another way to improve your mortgage marketing website from a trust standpoint is to have some friends or colleagues navigate around the site. Pick somebody who has never been on the website before (and somebody who will be brutally honest with you). Ask them how comfortable they felt with the website, and what you might do to encourage their trust.
Skepticism is the enemy of mortgage marketing online. You should seek to reduce it wherever possible.
